Hey everyone i want to write my story on stress among us as students. I dont really have an angle yet but i wanted to know what makes you stressed about school and the consequences of that stress in your academic life. Also, what helps you overcome that stress? I would be awesome of you to comment on this topic for me as soon as possible. Thanks ya'll

Ok, for me, I get stressed at the amount of work I have because I am a perfectionist and want every assignment to be more than perfect. This stresses me out. The only thing I can do to get rid of my stress is to get done what I can for the next day of school and just mentally take it a day at a time.

Unfortunately, Casey, now that it's the weekend you won't be able to find counselors at the Wellness Center, who could talk to you about all those issues. (Jessica did a related story last week--check it out.) You might call over there tomorrow and see if there's anyone on duty who could talk with you. Otherwise, definitely get in touch with them as early as possible on Monday.

You also could look to see what public mental health agencies there are in Logan.

And I assume that you've tried trolling the web via Google for topics like students and stress? That might give you some stats and ideas for how to focus.

Also, it might be interesting and useful to talk to some dorm RAs about students and stress. They're on the front lines, and see all kinds of stress and acting out all the time.

Finally, of course, random conversations with stressed students--or professors who see stress in the classroom--will be good illustrations, but you still need the core info from experts. See my post on NewsHounds about localizing a larger story topic.

Good luck.
